This treasure was handcrafted by artisans from the southwest of Colombia, in Sibundoy, Putumayo, belonging to the Kamentza Indigenous community. Their ancestral territory, known as Bënge Wäman, translates to “Our Sacred Place of Origins.”
The figures featured in the design are symbolic representations of their cultural identity, reflecting the moon, the earth, animals, and water — elements that embody their deep spiritual connection to nature.
